I couldn't make it to the first attempt at the shoot due to an ice hockey match but I'm travelling up to "North Britain" (just getting in character) next weekend (28th April) for the second attempt. My father who was there for that first attempt said that the weather was so bad that no one could see more than 25 ft so hopefully it'll be better this time. I'm taking a camera with me so I'll get some pics for you all.
As I sid I'm portraying one of the Butchers men so I may have to do this properly and be hungover from the commanders 25th birthday when I step onto the field.
I forgot to say, this was a filming for the new visitors centre at Culloden, but the film crew said Culloden wasn't eerie enough so they're filming it in the lowlands near Edinburgh
As promised here are some more pics from the filming at Lauder. I wasn't able to get any pictures myself as I was involved in the filming almost non stop from 8am to 8pm.
The draft copy I saw of the Highland army was impressive and I can't wait to travel up to see the final piece when the new visitor centre opens.
Unfortunately I'm not on any of the BBC pics but I'm the tall grenadier (daft hat) on the fair end of the line feeling awkward without a kilt on surrounded by all the kilties on the other side.
