Good for you, I bet you are more confident now that you are truly out there.

I figure on the odd chance I get a bald spot, I'll just keep growing dreadlocks around it.

wisdom from the mouth of sputnik:
NEVER trust a man with a comb over. if he can't be honest with himself, he will never be honest with you.

When you're wearing a kilt, does anyone really look at your head?
Congrats on the new look. Personally, I think short hair and/or shaved heads look distinguished.

Thankfully, I am one that won't have to worry about this for a long time. I've already determined though that I will skip the cover-ups and worrying about it and just go straight to the Mark Messier if I ever have to. It'll be much less embarrassing than dealing with a comb-over.

Congrats on the shaved head.
My Dad started to go bald at 19 and tried the comb-over and the 'status-quo' ponytail for a long time before he just started getting a number-1 cut all over.
I'm 23 and my hair's already thinned-out to the point where I'm doing the same.
Now no-one really notices.

just like wearing a kilt, a shaved head equates to freedom

It really is the only way to do it. I've kept mine shaved for about 5 years or so now. I wouldn't go back for ANYTHING.

Every once in a while I let mine grow out a bit as I'm far from follicly challenged, but I can't take it after a short while and pull out the clippers (00 blade). Now that the sun's out again, I'll be breaking out the Headblade and getting the noggin good and shiny again.

Ya know, men go bald because of excess testosterone.
You're not bald, you're a MAN!
