LOL! Yes those are box pleats all the way around.
The kilt actually does go to the center of my knee, i think it's just the angle this picture is taken at that makes it look like its much longer.
I definitely need a new sporran, or at least a new tassle on it.

You could always check on ebay to see about replacement tassles. I have seen them.

I don't have any shots of her wearing it yet, but CSBDR's wife got this. The fabric on the outside was chosen by him so I went with it and matched the liner to some of the flowers on the outside, used frogs for straps (secures using velcro anyway).
(Please disregard the blaze orange 550 cord. It's there to show off the corset lacing feature and I didn't have the appropriate ribbon on hand. Now it sports a liner matching ribbon that's a bit sheer)

I screwed up just as it was about to go in the box and pressed it with the iron that had some stitch witch residue on it. You can see it on the wearers right hip area of the apron, just below the frog.
I've since replaced the apron, added a pocket to the under apron for her blackberry, and adjusted the size. She should be receiving it today some time.

This was taken on our way to this years Burns Dinner.
Bobbies Hostess Skirt is in the German Heritage Tartan designed by Rocky and Kelly of USA Kilts.
The Skirt is made exactly the same as my other Kilts but with the apron reversed.
Midi length as Bobbie thinks she has large calves.
Boy, it sure takes up a lot of fabric when the total length is longer than the half the fabric is wide.
