I have a dear friend (OK he's my best man in my upcoming wedding) who is a Disney land annual passholder and typically wears an unbiforcated garment (whose name escapes me -- but it is popular with pacific rim cultures). They have a great picture of him asleep on a bench in New Orleans with his baby on his lap with big wide eyes -- the little one can't ride Pirates yet, and I guess it was a long day for daddy -- mommy snapped the pic as she was leaving the ride. I've asked him and he says as far as he knows -- no one as even noticed that he's not in pants -- and his garments go to below the knees and are usually in very bright colors.

Furrycelt, you should have mentioned it sooner, we might have worked an impromptu kilt night.

i'm back. it was fun all-in-all. and exhausting. to not wear a kilt for a whole solid week felt really weird (read: uncomfortable). we hit nearly every park in Walt Disney World (mgm, magic kngdom, animal kngdom, epcot, downtown disney, a few resorts, the boardwalk, typhoon lagoon) and i never saw a single kilt on anyone. i guess it is just Disney Land that gets them.
the British pavilion at Epcot was underwhelming. no kilts, few items representing Scotland: super cheap bagpipes, a few scarfs and ties in the most common of tartans, and other trinkets. the Canadian pavilion had the band Off Kilter. i wanted so bad to see them. but i missed them. alot of the things i wanted to do kept getting deferred. when it finally came my time to see them, it was their day off.
they only perform from monday thru thursday from what i heard.
my wife felt bad for me and bought one of their CD's. oh well. i am sure we will return.

Too bad we missed you.
Walt Disney World is almost in my backyard!!!
I've been working a bunch, but we take the kid about every week to one of the parks.
Maybe next time!

I am making a trip there on Friday and I have heard that it is hard to get out of the rides in a kilt. Has anyone had the same experience? I plan on taking two kilts and plan on wearing it as much as I can. Only I probably won't wear them on any rides where I could get wet.

Kilts are great but, from my experience, I think you'll possibly have a better time if you wear shorts.

You weren't wearing your German hat with the feather, were you Jamie ?
Or maybe it was the flat cap.

Matterhorn? You look like you could have taken a Jungle Cruise boat for a spin.
