I like it. Just a thought - change "The Great S.E.K.S." to "Greater S.E.K.S." on the logo.

Both excellent ideas.
I envision this being a 2-prong promotional campaign, one that plays up the Greater S.E.K.S innuendo and another that simply promotes S.E.K.S as an acronym. I'm looking into a more unique background image as the resemblance to the Order of the Thistle badge may be to close and lead to issues down the road. More to come.

WooHooo! This thing might actually happen! I am hoping that we have a chance to get together soon to inagurate this thing.

I'm in. If nothing else, that is going to look great on T-shirts and other items!
And a variation might be SEXES for Southeastern Xkilt Enhanced Society! For those with an XKilt of course!

For those in or near metro Atlanta, please sing out as to what nights of the week would generally work best for you, and where you live. We can then figure out a standing monthly kilt night, e.g., second Wednesday. That way we can accomodate the mostest of us with a venue that either minimizes travel or is at least central and easy to get to.
Fado's in Buckhead comes to mind. It has great atmosphere (you can choose from 5 or 6 differently styled rooms in one pub. If Mondays were possible, they have a Celtic Session there every Monday. Friday and Saturday in buckhead are to be avoided, generally, becasue of the high volume of Clubbers that choke the traffic routes.
Occasionally we could "spread the wealth". Starting with "Great S.E.K.S at Fado's", then at Johnny McCkracken's, the Harp, Micks, Shakespeare Tavern, etc. We could end up with Great S.E.K.S. all over ATL.
I'm generally pretty flexible when I know it's a regular date, except for the third Wed and Thurs when I can sometimes be found at the Flying Saucer in Memphis.

Mondays are pretty good in the summer but really stink the rest of the year. I am generally free on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

Something Heraldic that would look good on a cap badge or kilt pin. A mix of Scottish and Native American, perhaps.
Animals widely associated with the southeast. Possum, black bear, cottonmouth, fire ants, etc. I'd say kudzu as a plant badge, except it's originally Japanese.
Of course, we'll need a motto to go with it, translated into latin or Gaelic.
we can brainstorm at the charter meeting, after a modicum of consumption activates the creative muse.
