Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes. Here's a picture for our logo of the Sonoran Scotsmen I wanted to share. It's pretty hilarious. It embodies the southwest as well as our celtic heritage. Let me know what you think!

    Cute logo.

I'm up on the Colorado Plateau in the canyonlands but get down to the Sonoran Desert from time to time...kilted of course.

This is going to probably sound like silly question, but where is the Colorado Plateau? Is that actually in Arizona, or is it Southwestern Colorado?

    Yes.

It's the plateau through which the Colorado River flows. Some of it is in Colorado, some in Utah, and some in Arizona. Ron has previously revealed that he lives in Page, which is a town about the same size as Bisbee, in north-eastern Arizona.

    Aye,

There's even a magazine/journal about the colorado plateau.

    Google is your friend. http://www.answers.com/topic/colorado-plateau

There be a bunch of kilties up here on the Colorado Plateau.

Page's population is about 7,000 max, always thought Bisbee had more folks....and WHERE are the Bisbee kilters...?? You'd think there'd be a bunch with their free spirit attitude.

    Welcome aboard, McFye!

I'll be in AZ in August. It woud be great to see some of the AZ contingent while there! We'l be staying in Sadona, but will definitely be in canyonand at some point. Hadn't thought about dropping down to Phoenix, but who knows?

Hey great! Keep me posted up here in the hinterlands. August is the perfect time for a flatwater float down Glen Canyon.

Up here we call Sedona "Scottsdale North" but hey...guess some folks enjoy communing with the new age woo-woos there and gazing at the Red Rocks. Jerome is a close drive and nice to visit from Sedona. Up Oak Creek Canyon downtown Flagstaff has some great night life. Think we've a few guys on the board in Flag and its a VERY kilt friendly town.
