The Union Canal runs through the central lowlands with few scenic photo locations, though the Almond and Avon aqueducts offer good views from the boat or towpath, and there are also a couple of interesting tunnels. The modern boat wheel at Falkirk is very impressive. The cafe there serves good food but suffers from not enough seats though if you are hiring a boat you would be able to eat the food in the privacy of your boat.
