A quick reminder to those who have easy access to Greater London and the South East of England.

Sunday July 8th sees the Harpenden Highland Gathering 2007 taking place. This annual event is held at beautiful Rothampstead Park in Harpenden, Hertfordshire - just off the M1 to the North of London and midway between St. Albans and Luton. There is a good train service from London and from Luton Airport, and there is ample free parking at the venue.

Last year, a number of us X Markers, together with some wives and families, met up at the Gathering to enjoy a full day of traditional Highland events in brilliant weather.




Some of us have already arranged to repeat that experience, including Derek (dwg69), Dave W, myself and, rumour has it, Alex (cessna152towser) will be joining us all the way from Hawick!

The organisers tell me that, once again, entry Programmes will be available in advance on-line (last year these were at a discounted price!) and, as soon as details of this are published, I will post them here.

So, why not make a note of the date in your diaries now and join us at one of the very few such Gatherings in England? Come on - you know you want to!
