    I'm wearing my Hunting Mcleod SWK standard and top edge is 2 1/4" above my navel. I'm like Cavscout (just under 5' 11" with a longer torso) and I've found the 24" length perfect (my custom made kilts are all to that length.
    I remember DaveDove saying somewhere that at first it takes a little getting used to, wearing something that high on your waist. Do it though and post a picture and let us be the judge...err give you our feedback.
