You guys look great together! And good for you for having the courage to wear your kilt, high school can be a rough place. Thanks for sharing your pic.

Rumpled at the end of the evening...for sure!
The sign of a good time...dare we think maybe the kilt just slipped down as the lovely lass hugged you tight and "cinched" you up like a horse being saddled...?
Contrats on having the juevos to be yourself.
She sure looks proud of you.

Cavscout,
The difference between a Short, Regular, and Long fitting jacket is primarily in the sleeve length. A Short will have sleeves 1" shorter than Regular. A Long will be 1" longer in the sleeves. I don't think that this would have fixed the amount of shirt showing under the jacket.
It is possible that you are wearing the kilt beneath your natural waist. It's hard to tell from the pics, but you look like you could be pretty high waisted. The kilt should rest on the top of your hipbone, which means the top of the kilt should be just below the bottom of your rib cage.

Is that what that means?

Now there is something I never understood. I always bought my shirts long based on the waist, not my sleeve. I mostly roll the cuff up. Here I was all this time, Thanks Matt

I didn't realize it was just the sleeve, I assumed the length of the torso would be longer as well to stay in proportion with the longer arms as well. Thanks for the clarification. I guess to deal with extra tall you'd have to go to a "Big and Tall" store?
