Nor-Cal Rabble checkin: Campbell Games and Clan MacNaughton

I'd like to ask as many of the NorCal rabble to try to make it to the Campbell Games as possible. Any and all visitors from other regions are welcome, as well of course!.

    Why?

Well, aside from the fact that two of the rabble have birthdays within a week of the Games...and it's a great Games....

A number of us talked about doing something for the MacNaughton Clan (Gene and Ruth) to say "Thank You" for all the times they've hosted us. I quietly talked to Ruth at Woodland, and have come up with an idea.

I propose that we make a framed "Certificate of Appreciation" (or something like that) backed with both MacNaughton tartan and some X Marks tartan (I have some left over). I'd like to present it to them at Lunchtime and have a little "reception" ...some special food and all, there.

I'd like to have as many X-Markers sign the certificate as possible, so come early and we'll figure out a way to get your John Henry on there before we close up the frame.

I'd welcome thoughts and ideas about this, but most importantly, I want to encourage all Nor Cal X-Markers who've enjoyed the times we've spent with the MacNaughtons to take an opportunity to say THANK YOU to Gene and Ruth, loud and clear!

Please post your ideas here. Thanks!

The Livermore Games are on May 19th. That could be a good place to start acquiring signatures.

How about a "clan" march of all XMarkers, headed by wearers of XMarks tartan, piped into the Clan MacNaughton tent to present the certificate of appreciation?

Or, just bring the liquid refreshments a few more times?

    Alan,

We are planning on being at the Livermore games. I would be glad to sign it there!
