OK it's 16 oz wool and in the warm weather giddiness I forgot the winter smoke breaks on kilt nights. I'm interested. One thing MacHummel works in pv, seldomly in wool. Would it be be fair to him to all of a sudden ask him to make a dozen wool kilts. Anyone willing to take this on?
Just a thought one only needs 4 metres sw for a box pleat right?

Well, if anyone wanted an X-Marks tartan kilt and would be happy with a box-pleat that was hemmed, here's your chance to put one together for not much money. If I was on a budget, I'd do it!
In fact, that's so cheap (they will add on about $20 for shipping) that I'm thinking of buying 2 meters and banging one out real quick for......well, it's a secret.

Thanks, Wompet, for he link. That's one sorry looking selvedge. I suggest hemming from the freshly split edge which allows ignoring the bad edge. Then we just need to decide where the hem will appear on the pattern.
That might lead to lots of questions at a SOKS meet on the lines of; "Do you all belong to a pipe band?" Depending on who's asking, that could be an opening gambit.

Subtle hint! I don't have a credit card so I wouldn't be able to swing it.

Was thinking that since material needs to be split and bulk postage might be cheaper. Also considering that one sw goes to Europe. Any takers?
