The kilt fits great and seems to be a pretty nice kilt. The only issue is that it does not have the reverse pleat on the right hand side that I had requested. It's definetely different than the 8 yard handsewn I have from them (different kiltmakers though) but it is still a nice kilt. The Lochcarron 13oz wool is very nice.
One positive of the experience, is that Iain from tartanweb has been very helpful and was always quick to reply to any questions or comments.
I have a few pics from my cell that I will try and add, with a more thourogh review later.

Glad to hear that, at least, Colin. I tend to try and look for the positive.

So does my wife. After almost 10 years I think some of it has rub off onto my natural cynic self

Hey Colin - could you provide a summary of this whole experience along with the photos? Your initial post left me thinking you were done buying from this source, now I don't know if I've got that right or not... If you could clear things up my fuzzy brain I'd appreciate it.
On a side note - I've also worked with Iain via email and on the phone. He's a very helpful guy and my 5 yard Ancient Calidonia from them is one of my favorite kilts.

Will do Phil. Right now I am not planning to order anything else from this source. I have ordered a fair bit from them in the past, but this experience has soured me. Not from their service or product directly, but more from a combination of everything that could go wrong kind of did.
Will I order in the future? I am not sure, but it does not seem likely. If my good experiences out weight the negative in my mind the next time I need something than maybe. I may just try out a new source though, as I have no need of anything right now nor do I forsee any purchases in the near future from anyone.
