I don't remember the previous thread either.
It does not say much for modern utili/ameri/etc kilts, if they look just like baggy shorts, which, we all agree, look awful.

What difference does the start date on a thread make? If a member finds a thread he or she feels is worthy of discussion, who are we to be so dismissive because it was started before a pre-determined date?
There were 19 posts made in 7 days when this thread was started, some 16 months ago. And 12 more posts have been made in less than 24 hours. It would seem there are some members that still find value in the thread, even if you don't. It is more active now than it was then.
If the thread were nonsensical, I might wonder why it had been dredged back up. If the thread posed one of the questions that seem to get asked around here on a weekly basis, I might wonder why it had been dredged back up. Since it seems to be neither of these things, I fail to see a problem with it. No matter its age.

Well, it does show that folks are interested in what we have to say and our opinions here on this forum. After all, we are a very intelligent group of individuals.

I see nothing wrong with dredging up old threads. It would be nice if the dredger made some mention of it when doing so, however.

I never really care much about what other people are wearing. The choices are their and not mine to make for them. Beauty is subjective. I am just glad that those men are brave enough to wear something different and that they don't want to dress like their fathers.

Ron,
I agree that there are far too many of those ghastly, baggy shorts (Shorts? Huh!) out there nowadays, but I cannot comment on the ages of those wearing them as I try to look away the instant I become aware of the garb - the less I see of them, the happier I am!
However, I have noticed that blue-jeans seem to be rather less baggy than they were. In fact I am not alone in this as a friend commented to me a week or two ago that he had noticed that the shops are selling narrower jeans again. I am old enough to remember guys sqeezing into their new jeans, then sitting for ages in baths of cold water to shrink them even more! Maybe, and hopefully, guys of all ages will soon be following suit and will be wearing shorts that are just that: short!

I do too. Some topics I just really enjoy everyone's input on and some I think are very helpful to a newbie and may not bee found unless revived occaisionaly.
