If you would like to write up and beta test a hack that will provide a pop-up on forum threads after X days of inactivity, I'm certainly willing to install it.
I will admit to having become dreadfully lazy since vBulletin has started using product imports, so please provide the file in an .xml format that can be imported as a product via the vB Product Manager. No need to be adding and/or modifying any templates by hand these days.
We will, of course, require the product to be fully manageable from within the vB control panel. We will need the following to be a part of the product -- to be able to disable the product during upgrades
- the option to select to skip sticky threads
- to be able to select what forums to include and/or exclude
- the above to provide a field for forum ID numbers to be used/excluded
- to be able to select either the date of creation timestamp or the last post timestamp
- a field to select the number of days until the thread is flagged
- the ability to run this as a cron job within the vB Scheduled Task Manager
- the above will need to be selectable by day of the week, day of the month, hour and minute
- to be able to log the daily activity as a standard log entry in the Scheduled Task Log
I should think this could be pulled off with no more than 8 or 9 KB of code.
Let me know as soon as it comes out of beta and we'll get it imported. And now since we have these issues resolved,
