    Thanks for all of the adivce. I kinda knew I would catch some guff for the tie and shirt not being done up perfect. Next time I will know better and do it all up right first.

    To answer some questions it is a wedding in Central Illinois (read somewhat redneck) so I am thinking simi-formal at best. The tie is shadow tarten just like the kilt.

    Would anyone suggest colored hose and shirt?

    I was going to say, see what it looks like if you loose the tie and jacket. If it's a semi casual/formal event you'll still look dressy, but not overstated. The way I look at it is, the kilt in itself is enough to draw attention to you as "dressed" if you'll excuse the pun and if you're in full gear, you may just look way too out of place. Just my opinion as I live in a somewhat redneck town myself.
