If you have a fanny pack, that's the 20th century equivalentof a sporran. You may prefer the traditional one when it arrives, but why wait?
While I have a leather sporran on order, I had a decent-looking green fanny pack that works out well for me. My wife did not even notice at first that it was not a "real" one because it blends well with my kilt. Sample pictures in this posting (my first kilt, also).
Welcome from San Jose California. I reeceived my Standard Hunting Mcleod from Jerry about a year ago. It is the kilt I wear most. I have found it to be a sturdy, handsome, comfortable, and well made garment. A very good first kilt.
Cheers
