Bull denim pleats.
I am in process of making a kilt out of fairly heavy bull denim, not the stiff kind but a somewhat more flexable material. I am using knife pleating and have sewed the outside pleat edges 1/16 " from the edge. Will I also need to sew the inside edges as well?
My kilt design is similar to the Buzz Kidder canvas kilt pictures except that I am using velcro rather than straps. For my 36 inch waist, I have deep first and last pleats and 15 pleats in between, using 5 yerds of material.
Second question is how well should this hold sharp or semi sharp pleats? And how do people with bull denim kilts like them?

Sew the inside pleats. It's better to do it now than after a week of wearing it.

I concur, sew them. I didn't sew the pleats into the bull denim kilt that I recently made, and I'm regretting it, especially with the tendency of bd to latch onto wrinkles like a starving man to a steak.

Sound's like it will be pretty neat.
