    Lesson learned

Always make sure you adjust your apron after sweeping the pleats and sitting down. Learn from my mistake kids always adjust your apron. I was at a family get together tonight for Victoria Day of course I was kilted, I was sitting across from my sister in law, well about a half hour later my brother comes up to me and in front of a bunch of people he says in a loud voice "Stop flashing my wife."
This is the same brother who has a problem with me wearing a kilt, so I say to him well I am sorry, but perhaps you could have taken me aside to discuss this instead of bringing it up in front of all these people. The upshot of it is that everyone I was talking to were a little uncomfortable at first but the ice was broken again when one of the guys says at least you're wearing the kilt correctly, and nobody will ask you the question. All in all it was a good night but I must remember to be vigilant with the apron adjustment.

Maybe your brother is just sour grapes about the kilt. Don't let his negativity get to you.

Yep, every time. A quick chop to the apron and and slight spread to the legs as you're sitting and never a worry.

"Sweep... and sit ... and tuck."

Hamish said it with a nice rhythm which seems to make a nice memory-aid.

Family can either be the biggest support or the biggest problems with Kilt wearing. Tough lesson for you to learn.

You got that right Glen, if it were my other sister in law I know she would have laughed about it or talked to me about it alone, you know had some class about it.
The way it happened they had to make a big deal and try to embarrass me, it turned out they embarrassed themselves, but I have a funny feeling I have not heard the end of this.
