Question on Sporran Flasks
I'm looking for insights on a servicable sporran flask. Most of the ones I have seen have been rather on the expensive side.
I'm looking for something to hold single malt, not impress the local lairdy.

I have a pewter flask that I won years ago in a Sporting Clays competition. It's a great flask but I find pewter a little soft so it has some dents that reduce the capacity!!
Did a search and found some nice stainless steel flasks at http://www.excaliburcutlery.com/flasks.html. Don't know if they fit in your price range.

I have this one. You can get it here for $8, or any number of other types. It''ll pass any sporran check. I wear mine on my sporran strap.

Ebay has a lot of cheaper stainless steel flasks

I got mine at a local smoke shop, made by Colibri (a decent lighter company) for around $30.
Apparently it's called the cosmopolitan, and the window is handy for obvious reasons.

I found a plastic flask (and the Scotch purists shudder convulsively) at a store that specializes in luggage and travel gear. I've also seen them in outdoor outfitter stores. Paid $3.50 if I recall.
I can detect no taste change, but then again I'm a bit of a Philistine, and only put blended scotch in mine.

I recently bought this stainless steel one on eBay for about $10, including shipping.
At 8 oz., it's a bit big for the sporran. It came with a belt clip, though, so that's how I'll wear it. I like the little cup that stores in the center.

I got mine from these guys. I don't see the one you're looking for listed anymore. I remember it was cheaper than ebay.

The first one I got had a small leak. I emailed them and received a replacement two days later. They have a nice selection at reasonable prices.

Gave those to my groomsmen as a wedding gift for standing up for me.
They loved being able to see how much they had left before filling up again.
Nice..very Nice.
