A couple of simple, inexpensive, yet good quality sgian dubhs...

If any of you are looking for a basic, no frills sgian dubh to wear with your day wear kilt may I suggest these two makers...

    First Kris Cutlery: http://kriscutlery.com/medieval/skean.html

    next Imperial Weapons: http://www.imperialweapons.com/sword...thdaggers.html

I have done business with both of these companies and know they both offer great blade quality at good prices. Most of the sgian dubhs I've found online are either very expensive or have crappy, soft stainless steel blades. Both these companies actually have decent usable blades. They are tools first and formost.

I like the simplicity of that second one a lot but I'm a bit timid of the blade quality at that price and from the appearance of it in the photo. More specs on the steel would be nice.

Clyde Hollis, owner of Imperial Weapons is a fellow member of two sword collecting forums to which I belong. He fully stands behind the quality of his products. If you were unhappy with your purchase he would refund your money. He is also a heck of a nice guy and would answer any questions you may have about his products. Just FYI, I believe Clyde has his blades made in India and quality inspected at his shop before they are hilted.
