Historically, people just bunched it up, but most who wear the great kilt at various events try to pleat on the stripe or sett. I can do mine in about 15 minutes. but I have done it many, many times.
As long as you have a nice smooth place to do it, it isn't too bad.
where are you thinking of wearing it to?
the minnesota (sp, sorry have bad spelling) highland games, or camping, or just around my general area, i live on a one roud subdivision and a forest to the south and the west, with a channel going to the lake, and a field to the north and east, i go hiking in the woods alot and find stuff i like to keep, but no pockets, there has to be somewhere to hide stuff in that huge thing
