I must have missed this thread first time round. Thats a nice looking kilt, Bradley; you make an excellent model for Matt Newsome's products. I like the muted tones of the tartan; clearly a dressy looking kilt without the overkill of garish colours.

Matt's Box-Pleated Kilts...
Oh, odds bodikins, am I starting to Jones and Jones...!!!!
I ordered a 4-yd. Box from Matt in my MacNicol Ancient Hunting, 16oz Strome, at the end of April. He's already received the cloth from Lochcarron, and I'm in the sewing queue. I will be picking it up at Grandfather Mountain. This will be my third kilt, but THE one I'm most interested in. My Dress Red and Modern Hunting MacNicols are really nice. but they're not Matt's own work.
Already got a special new belt from Cavscout which I'm gonna wear with it. Have to find a really special kilt pin now. Whadda they call this disease...Jonesnewmonia??
I'll bet there's no cure for it, either......!!!!!

Nothing is worn under the kilt...everything works just fine!!

The wait is a killer, but you'll be rewarded many times over for you patience. I adore this kilt. At the time of these photos I had cheapy belts. I have since acquired two very nice belts (one brown, one black) from Cavscout. I guess I need some updated piccies with the belts. Hold fast, you'll be glad you did.

Great kilt, Bradley. You wear it well, but what else does one expect as noted above.
My favorite kilt is still the weathered Robertson tartan shown in my photos under the casual kilted section. I really do like that brownish, earthy tone look.

Rocking! I assume you're referring to the "muted" shad offered in that line? I've seen it, but look forward to your pictures as i've only seen a digi-swatch. It should be a smashing kilt none-the-less. Guid on ya for the membership, I joined earlier in the year myself.

I can't believe I haven't seen this yet! That's a really awesome kilt bro. I've never seen our weathered tartan in kilted form before. This certainly does it justice!

Bradley,
You have a really nice kilt. Tell me more about it. I've just started the process to have Matt make me one in Ancient Lamont 16 oz. I'm looking forward to getting it in my hands.

Wow. Great to see this thread getting some hits after all these months. MacHenderson, I had never seen the weathered version in kilt form either; minus a corner shot of one of the Henderson officials' kilt in a newsletter... speaking of where the heck is my newsletter??? I haven't received one this year. Hmmm. Thanks for the kind words I love my weathered Henderson. Depending on how much different that HofE looks from the Ancient shade, I may be interested in that one at some point.
Don:
It's a 16 oz. Strome cloth woven by Lochcarron, the kilt is sewn from four yards of this cloth by Matt Newsome. If you have any specific questions, I am absolutley thrilled ot answer them.
