    Camo Kilt & Steam Train

Today's outing took me a 72 mile drive across the Border, to Stanhope, for a 5-mile ride on a steam train to Wolsingham, from where I began my hike.

The train runs along the floor of Weardale.

Crossing and re-crossing the river several times along the route.

Its great where a kilt can take you.

Kilted on the footplate. A Union Kilt on board a Welsh railway engine.

A final view of 6619, an 0-6-2 tank engine originally built for the Great Western Railway for service in South Wales.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.

WooHoo. Thanks again for taking us along on your trip!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
