Ya know, when I saw the words "hapless dilettante", I thought *that* was the reference to the Pretender.
The tradition continues!

It can't be any worse than the dreadful version they made with David Niven who was forced into it by his contract even though his heart wasn't in it.
Will reserve judgement but I hope they do it "warts and all."

2 things ...
1. their gonna need ALOT of men in kilts....maybe we should tell them about us! I know I'd go over there and be paid in room and board just to be an extra LOL
2. who do you think would make a good Charlie?, and the rest of the cast?
I'd be able to see Patrick Stewart as Cumberland........
one of my MacPherson ancestors hid Charlie till he made it out of Scotland.
matter of fact if I recall he was the one that wore a blue bonnet to hide his REALLY red hair, since the English knew him by his red hair and as a jacobite/ supporter

With a $15 million Budget, good luck on the quality. Hollywood can't tie it's shoes for hat much.

Good as he is he is 66 and trying to play a 24 year old would require a miracle of makeup...
