Looks like a GREAT day!
BTW, those boys get some height on the 56'er. That bar has to be at 13-14 feet!

Thank you very much, Alex. The photos are lovely and show me what I missed. If you will remind me ( well, all of us) I will try and join you next year.

Very nice Alex. Thanks for the pics.
Are there any games in that neck of the woods during the week June 21 - 27? We might rearrange our sight-seeing schedule to attend.

Peebles Beltain Sports, Hay Lodge Public Park, Peebles, Saturday 23rd June.
62 miles by road from Dumfries. The park is on your right as you approach Peebles from Dumfries.
Not a fully fledged highland games, as Peebles has its main highland games day with heavy events at the start of September, and its really a day of athletic running track events, though it does make it into the highland games calendar by virtue of including a highland dancing competition at 1pm as part of the day's programme, and there should also be a pipe band there.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.

Alex, I'm submitting your name to the National Geographic Magazine...they should hire you...great stuff.
...and I always thought that the 56 pound weight over the bar toss would be much more interesting if the tosser then had to run over to the other side and CATCH it on the way down...
Best
