I served for 10 years in the Territorial Army (part time Army). Latterly as a staff officer in 2 Ordnance Battalion, Royal Army Ordnance Corps, which has now become partof the Royal Logisitic Corps.

I'm sure my logon gives the answer to this
20 years service in the Oregon Army National guard as an Infantry Officer
one tour in Iraq with the 1st Cav and one in Afghanistan(Just now ending) with TF Phoenix.
CIB

1 MSM
4 ARCOMs
I'm a third generation Oregon Guardsman and a fourth generation militaman. With the end of this deployment I will have spent more time in a combat zone than my WWII vet grandfather.

Mother: 6yrs British Army nurse.
Grandfather: Gordons
Great-grandfather: Gordons
Previous family members service unknown but assumed.

The armed forces would never take me, or I would have proudly served my country. Both of my grandfathers served in the US Army. My mothers father was in the invasion at Normandy D-Day + 1. Thank you to everyone who has served their countries.

I was caught in a draft in 1969 and have been leery of breezes ever since! Fortunately, I graduated from the University of Southeast Asia and returned home the next year.

82nd Airborne Div Early 80s. 11B1Y Pathfinder platoon in the Avation brigade. Since then DOD civilian.
A few deployments. Afgan early 02 Iraq 05. Mostly to help Solve field gear problems.
