Just buy a "normal" sgian dubh or whaterver utility knife and put this ( $2 ) in your sporran.

    Problem solved

I think the "Swiss army sgian" looks nice, but it's just an over the top bottle opener.

I have a 5cm Swiss-army type penknife that I'll consider sticking in my hose if it ever seems I "must have" a sgian dubh. I'm still undecided about the entire subject of sgians & dirks.

If I had a small enough tin whistle, I'd keep it in my sock, like PiobBear's friend.

I've got one like this (but with a bottle opener part at one end) that I routinely keep in my sock.
