County Antrim - Marton Mills 13oz wool

Finally the jonesing is over and the new kilt arrived yesterday. Too late for the Scottish Heritage Society picnic last Saturday but got to wear it to a committee meeting last night and in to town today. Really like the colors and the pattern. Rocky did a great job pleating to sett.

    So here's the photos:

    Here's the front

    and the back

    Another front

    Another back

And another thread asked about the kilting selvage on Marton Mills fabric. I cannot see any problem and this is what it looks like

I originally never considered the County Tartans but the more I see of them the more I'm considering one. Many of them really have some awesome colors. Congrats on a beautiful kilt!

    Wow, that is nice.

Wow what a sharp looking kilt. I really like the way the kilt pin looks on it too.
Thanks for the picture of the selvedge, it has helped with the mill decision I am trying to make.
I hope you have many years of good health and good cheer in your new kilt!

I like that Tartan a lot, Brian. I think the selvedge issue has always been with the P/V and not the wool.
And I see I was wrong, you have the tan leathers from Cavscout.

    A great-looking kilt!
I am soooo envious - the Antrim is #1 on my "wish-for" list. My great grandfather was an artisan in county Antrim, and it's through him I trace my proud heritage.

So nice when Jonesing ends - and we get to see the pictures

Dude, that's just sharp looking. I know Rocky made his name with PV, but he also made my Leatherneck five yard worsted, and it's one of the most comfortable, best looking, and all around nicest kilts I own.
