I think it is excellent. Millions of kids (and adults) wil get the kilt message (of sorts). Very shrewd of Locharran!

Here is a picture - yes I know there was a link earlier but didn't notice it.

Not sure if I go along with the image though - makes a bit of a mockery of highland dress for some cheap publicity.

It's weird that Mike Myers 2 main kilted characters(Fat Bastard and now Shrek) are on the...well..."OH MY GOD ITS COMING TOWARD US" size. So he couldn't even wear there kilts if he wanted...well, he could but it would be a "Great Kilt" on him. Now, if they'll only put out a Donkey tartan!!!

It is an interesting tartan. Anybody got pix of the McDuck ones mentioned earlier???

Green because the oGRE ENjoys wearing his kilt though it appears from the article that Shrek's kilt may be a one off item.

    Here you go:

From the looks of it in the picture, I question whether it could actually be woven that way.

The original design by Disney was World Tartan Register #1080. Later, they changed to the current version, World Tartan Register #1121, which Scrooge McDuck has worn since 1942.

I had the same thought, actually. I imagine it's because they're both based on the Government Tartan.
