I believe Turpin may have posted some pics of this sporran but now that it is in my hands, I can give you the lowdown.
It took a number of e-mails to get all the details worked out as Turpin wanted to be absolutely sure I got what I wanted. He sent me photos of hides to select just the right colour for the flap.
One note was to complain about how this sporran was no end of trouble for him ("kicking my a**" was the phrase he used). He then realized it must be because this was NUMBER 13!
Anyway, it finally all came together and it was well worth the wait!
The main body is made of butter soft black buffalo. The stitching is tight and even. The back strap is heavy and well secured.
The flaps are equally well made. One is a cream coloured elk that is beautifully finished with a parchment type grain. The other is covered in MacGregor tartan to match my tank.
Turpin offered to "Mikey size" my sporran so it more closely matched my physical magnificense. Consequently, this sporran is about 30% bigger than average. And it holds a bunch of stuff. I'm actually considering renting it out to an exchange student!
The inside has two pockets and a pen holder, perfect for a cell phone and cards to hand out.
Overall, I had a great time working through this order with Turpin and I will not hesitate to recommend his products to anyone willing to listen.
Now for the pics........................

A Few Essentials
I have no doubt that this sporran will prove invaluable at whisky tastings, highland games and anywhere else I may need extra carrying capacity and a darn sharp looking accessory!
