Superb job! It'll be quite some time before I attempt kilt making I think, but my hat's off to those of us who do

That is one great looking kilt.

What an amazing challenge you took on - and won! I sure do admire you guys who can sew without bleeding.
Even with a history of college textiles courses and experience sewing up a shirt and an apron 40 some years ago, I just can't "get it" about sewing kilts. Just some missing synapse I guess...kind of like with calculus. And yes, I have the book...I just stare at the pages in wonder.
You should be rightly proud.

I think I might have said this before, Ron, but you and I have more in common than is decent!! Andy's kilt is just amazing (warmest congratulations, Andy). I have tried to make a kilt, and was watched over whilst doing it, but I still failed miserably. Like you, I have Barb's superb book which I have read and re-read, but most of it goes right over my head.
This I have said before: anyone who can successfully produce an item of such beauty MUST have mathematical and/or engineering skills - and I have neither.
