custom Air Force sporran set
Hi folks
Caledonia Fine Arts makes custom sporran sets with military insignia, and we ordered one for our daughter to give to her when she commissioned in the Air Force last month. Thought you might like to see the set up close. The set has her career field badge on the buckle, Air Force wings on the cantle, and the logo that's on the dress uniform buttons on the sporran chain, cuff links, sgian dubh, and kilt pin.

Looking really good. That set complements the kilt very nicely indeed.
Now I'm tempted to get something similar for my Royal Air Force kilt !!!!

Very nice . . . might have to get a set for my brother, and then start trying to convince him to wear a kilt.
where is she stationed?

She'll be stationed in Albuquerque at Kirtland AFB, and she'll be working as a research physicist. The Air Force Research Labs at Kirtland do research on directed energy and space vehicles, and she doesn't yet know which one she'll be working in. I'm sure that I'll never have any idea of what she's working on - they had her apply for her second level top secret clearance even before she finished ROTC and graduate this spring.
We're very proud of her!

That is sweet. She will enjoy Albuquerque (which is where I am sitting right now) if she likes the outdoors.

Barb, that is a very nice matching set!
Congratulations to your daughter for her accomplishment.
I worked at Kirtland for a few months, many years ago. Albuquerque was a nice town then, and there is a rich blend of heritages in that region.
Best wishes,
Tom

Oh yeh - we started her backpacking when she was a wee squirt. And both she and her husband majored in geology, so......ABQ is a fab place for them.

Looks like the old Army Air Corps logo on the sporran chain - very cool!
If you haven't already check out L.L. Bean's sale on the military tartan shirts, they have the Air Force tartan. She might like that for knocking around. Just search for tartan on the website.
And hey, Albuquerque is so cool. Maybe she'll get a chance to meet Kathy Lare, go to the Gathering of Nations next year, ride up Sandia Peak, and pig out on the great chow they have around town.
You gotta be soooo proud.

Splash, you're not there for the NETC/ACE conference by any chance, are you?
