    Well, normally the kilt ought to close on the right - one that closes on the left is usually a woman's skirt. If it's no big deal to change, I'd say go ahead and do it.

    I got a baby kilt for my 2YO son and it was backwards as well. Apparently children and women wear them that way but my son wanted one like mine so I reversed it. All I had to do was buttonhole the left side under the buckle and fringe the other apron to reverse it. Took me all of about 5 minutes.
