Wonder if this is suitable on a standard military royal blue beret?

I think the cockade would be appropriate on the blue beret, there are directions for making a multi colored ribbon cockade in J. Charles Thompson's great little book "So You are Going to Wear the kilt". It is available from Matt at the museum.
