Wearing the kilt in my part of Texas would be an adventure. Don't believe I've ever seen anyone wear one. I would certainly stand out. I imagine it would be a quick conversation starter.
I've worn one in the Byan / College Station area a few times! most recently during AggieCon weekend.

I've heard rumor that there are some corp members who play the pipes, but I've been at the university for almost 28 years and never heard of a pipe band.
