My oldest son and i just started wearing the kilt. wanted to gett one for some time now. we are in St. Louis Mo. Saint Charles, MO. (for those who don't just west of here) host a TARTAN days each year. So we bought off the Schottish National kilts and headed out. i was a little nervous (did not wish to look stupid) but i soon became quit at ease. The next trip was to a Renaissance event in Wentzville Mo. realizing a kilt is not a costume I plan on wearing wherever and when ever i can.

Always good to see it as a family thing. I didn't jump into the kilted world until my baby brother (17) came home from a rugby trip to the UK with a kilt he bought in Scotland.
