And her book will pay for itself even if you never intend to make your own kilt but simply need the information about what a real kilt should look and feel like so you can make a good informed decision on who will make your next kilt.
Now I read on the website for the book that it's out of print until the 2nd edition came out. Does this mean that she has zero copies of the first edition left, or just that I'm only looking at the pre-order in the face? My first copy was purchased from the publisher directly by a family member as a gift. The book has been invaluable tool in making decisions on the last 2 kilts I've purchased.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to be posting this, just kind of on the hunt due to being stuck at a standstill in my current project with my bible of kilt making.

My .02 on the book: As a rookie seemster and complete novice at almost everything kilt related, The Art of Kilt Making became an essential tool to me in not only working out my first home made kilt, but in urging my hand towards quality garments and fabrics. It truely is a book that any and every one with an interest in making or purchasing a kilt should own.
