I sent them an e-mail and they apparently have different lengths. I think the best thing to do would be to e-mail them directly with your waist and length requirements and see what they have available. I've also asked if they have garter flashes in the same tartan.

I don't know that I could describe what military box pleats are, but I know that Kathy Lare went back to Keith Kilt School for another special course to learn how to do them right and they are a lot more difficult and cost a lot more.

And, I too have a girth much to massive for those samples...

But that is a deal for sure.

That's what I've been trying to tell my wife... But between my recent addictions to kilts and fountain pens she's keeping a gimlet eye on me...
But I think I can get away with this kilt. At least, I'm going to try!

Though I'm usually opposed to paying anything close to this for a garment, it's very tempting since I only wear a 33-34" waist...

To be harsh but fair if you have a waist bigger than 36 in the Army you should be doing something about it

I bet you will find waists bigger than 36" in the Regiment - have you ever seen a thin General?

Not necessarily. There are body-fat measurements and such to consider. When I was first out of boot camp (USA mind you, but strict standards none-the-less) I weighed about 170 lbs (man I could only dream of that again ) Anyway, I didn't wear kilts back then. But, I know for a FACT my natural waist could not have been much smaller than 36" if at all. At 170 lbs I was almost 30 lbs under the maximum allowable weight for my height and age. Another example. I had a Flight Sgt. who was one of those rough and tumble Purple Heart wearing types. This guy was flipping HUGE. Guessing, his waist could NOT have been a 1/16 under 40" But, his body fat measurement was through the floor. Guy benched over 500 lbs max and all that. Don't think he needed to do anything about his waist line. He was just built like a bull dog.
