Money really WASN'T the primary reason... Kelly went to ground zero a few weeks after the attack and was deeply moved by it. This is something she's been wanting to do for a long time and has always insisted (and I agreed) that we should give a % to a FF Charity.

we DID donate a kilt to the Dennis Leary Firefighter's Foundation last year for silent auction and that's one of the few charities we're looking at to receive the donation this first year. I'll see what I can do. ;)

I may have to talk to you and see if its possible to make a pipers plaid as well as a kilt for me since I am now basicly the only "fire piper" in the area, I have been doing the memorials for firefighters.... so far no LODD's but sad that they have passed on none the less...

A sharp looking tartan for sure.

One of the biggest regrets of my besotted life is that I didn't find the fire service until I was 55. What a great family they are. Put in five years volunteering on the Phoenix Fire Departments crisis wagons.

    Wool huh.?...hmmmmm.

With the fire-resistant qualities of wool, would any other material be as appropriate?

Its great how much thought went in to designing this tartan. Incorporating 343 in the design is very moving to me.

Does anyone have a picture of someone wearing this kilt? (not the one on the site)
I would really like to see it.

Unfortunately, we don't have any other pics of the FFM kilts "in action" other than the few on our site. We were promised pics by lots of different customers but they have yet to materialize.
