Very nice Bradley. I like the green stripe pleating in the back. It really brings out the green in the front.

Really nice, Bradley. The fit is perfect, like made-to-measure.
There are, it turns out, two very similar variations of that tartan. The single central green line version we both own, and this double green line version. Both date from around the mid 1740's in the Outer Hebrides.
I like the version we have though - the double central green line tartan is a bit busy.

That pleat to the stripe really looks good, too. At first I couldn't decide which I liked more. To the stripe:
or to the sett:
Turns out I like them both, for different reasons.
Oh, and the oatmeal hose, etc. really works well, agreed.

That is a sweet kilt Brad! Wear it in good health.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Brad,
What are those wire-like things on either side of the kilt at about crotch level? or are they something in the background of the photo?

A faux plant, decorative, thing (not sure the exact term.) It's something Nikki bought at Hobby Lobby.
