Not all kilting in Delaware is bad.... I was in Walmart wearing my economy SWK in Wallace. I heard a loud, and somewhat brash "You Scottish?". Sounded a bit rude to me so I mentally prepared to serve some fool. Silly me.

Turned around to find three strapping lads in "Tap Out" gear. One was clearly a pugilist and appeared to have had a spirited contest recently. I smiled and extended a hand to the fighter and said "Whenever I can get away with it!".

The fighter starting telling me about his family tree and how good it was to see a man in a kilt. The Three were headed to a small show down south where two of them were fighting, one in his pro debut. All were very complimentary and thought it was so cool to see a big boy struttin his stuff in a kilt.

More on topic, the beaches can be rough (in a spiritual/mental way) in the summer. All those folks trying to have fun at once tax each other. And the locals.

But wear your kilts, even in the First State, and think good thoughts. And anybody going to the beaches from the North is welcome to stop at the shanty and woodlot we call the dog compound. Spartan accomodations, good food and free mosquitos!!
