But it's interesting to hear that issue kilts are longer. Are the kilts simply worn longer in the military? IOW, do they typically fall below the top of the knee?
Ha Ha, know what you mean, I have a kilt which is for someone 188 cm tall (exactly my height 6'2""). The quick way we normally put them on is kneeling on the ground. My belief in them being longer is to ensure there is no gap between the top of the kilt and any jacket thats being worn, this would mean pulling the kilt up and making it too short or possibly to pull your gut in too (a bit like a corset!!)
