In Europe, we extend the finger upwards (which seems logical, when you think about what it represents, no?).
At least, that's how my 3-year old grand daughter does it when she is annoyed at me.

Actually, I was trying to be subtle. It was a reflex kind of thing, usually I try not to behave like that. even when it's not bikers.
My daughter likes the one I invented for work. It's all the fingers up, except for the middle one, "I am so not giving you the finger."
Anyway, I think we're, I am, way off topic at this point.
But it's good to think of the negative things that could happen, in a Boy Scout, Be Prepared, kind of way, and plan to come out with minimal damage.
