I think it's a regular Latin Cross tilted & stylised to give it a St. Andrew's twist (?)

It is a stylized X and t (for Tartan Army, duh) to make it unique.
Actually, a rather appropriate logo.
(Any similarity to the traditional Christian cross is just a coincidence of the lower case "t" looking JUST like a cross.)
