Request for someone to teach me to baste pleats

I will try to use my digital still cameras limited capabilities for video and shoot a quick tutorial on basting.

I smell a classic in the making!

Considering the fact that I just basted and ironed 3 kilts this weekend from advice in another post, I'm curious as to the "proper" way to do it. I know I screwed it up a few times and I'm sure I didn't do it exactly right but it held the pleats in the right position for me to iron them so I guess it wasn't a total loss.

I guess I shouldn't comment as I only know how to baste a turkey. That might be a bit messy.
