    Movie: The Pathfinder, a review

To sum the movie in one work yuck! If there were technical advisors they should be spanked. Story line had great potential, who doesn't like costumes and cleavage, no not that kind - as with swords and axes. Vikings must have been clothed by the costumer for Mad Max Beyond the Thunderdome. The Natives lived in houses on stilts and dressed in across section of at least three different cultures. A few tidbits, yellow and orange leaves on trees in the spring, Viking ships had more than one deck and they had horses. Save your money don't see unless you like to groan.

    Cheers

The moment I saw a viking with a horned helm (in the trailer), I knew I'd pass on that one.

I have two better ideas for two Norse/Scottish films.... than Pathfinder.

If you're looking for a good Norse film, Beowulf and Grendel, with Gerard Butler is better than a sharp stick in the eye.

yeah, I was really, really disappointed in the film. I went with a German friend not knowing anything about it, and wished I didn't.

And fantastic scenery... did you watch the documentary part where the wind picks up a rock and fires it through the camera car window. Awesome, and they filmed through most of that.

Yeah, that was amazing, as was the stuff about filming in the near-freezing water, with wetsuits under their mail and other gear. The sacrifices people make for movie making are amazing.
