That's great news, Cloves & Splash_4! That means Matt Newsome should be receiving my material today, too, & hopefully starting on my box pleat kilt, soon.
One thing Matt asked me & I still haven't given him an answer is, do I want it pleated to the white or yellow stripe?
Now, I'm a fan of the White Stripes (love their new album, Icky Thump), so that might be fitting to do it to the white stripe , but I was wondering -
Does anyone have a photo of the XMTS tartan pleated to these 2 different color stripes? If so, please post 'em. Thanks!
.

Well, IF Georgia got it today . . . I SHOULD get mine tomorrow!
As for the white stripe:
It is a tad beat up and needs washing/repressing, I've used it ALOT (and it seems to RAIN EVERY TIME I put it on->> SO it has been sat on when wet MANY times). It is also the 13 oz, the 16oz holds a pleat MUCH, MUCH better!
Mine is also the FULL width of the blue around the white (using a double sett for each pleat). My INTENT was to make a WIDE pleat. You could do half that easily and use single setts.
Most of them are to the yellow. A search should have PLENTY of picts (if no one posts them here).

Ask and ye shall receive.
To the sett - to the gray stripe - to no stripe - to the yellow stripe - to the white stripe

Mine arrived today as well! A nice surprise when I walked in the door from work!. My wife asked what kind of kilt I ordered. I unboxed the tartan and said its a "prekilt" model. Now to contact the maker of my kilt so that I can get the fabric in the line for making. JONES ON!!

Retro Red, Steve's pic of the different pleat-to-stripe choices include the white stripe, which is very obvious, and the yellow stripe surrounded by the brighter blue, which is the next most obvious. The post linked below shows three XMarks tartan kilts pleated three different ways: Alan H made his kilt pleated to the solid blue block, Cameron Taylor had his pleated to the gray stripes, and mine is pleated to the sett.

Hope this helps you in deciding which way to go.

In a cedar chest is best. That way your clothes don't smell like mothballs.

I can sympathize Cloves, I have been looking at the pictures for the past few days trying to figure out how I want my kilt pleated. If I keep this up I am going to end up waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat screaming pleated to the line NO the sept!

It's the stink that keeps the moths out. I find the aroma of cedar very pleasant though. Much more preferable than the smell of naptha in mothballs anyway.
