I started reading the books as a wee lad and was really into them then but now I've moved on to other things. While I still find them enjoyable I'm kind of reading them to find out how it ends. Somebody posted on a myspace group a summary of the last book that supposedly was leaked. I had read the whole thing before I even realized what I was reading! So if what was written is true I'm not going to be a happy camper.

I sincerely doubt it's genuine. They've taken huge precautions with this book, including things like having the people printing it working in the dark, so they can't see what's on the pages.

That seems a little dangerous in a printing press, let alone any work environment. I don't think they would do that. Where did you hear that? The same place they got the "summary" of the book?

I haven't read any of the books yet. Have seen all the movies and will go tomorrow to see the 5th one. My family has and has read all the books. I will read them after all the movies are finished. That way the books don't spoil the movies with comparisons. Movies rarely spoil books with the exception of Forrest Gump.

A Mugglenet news item about a month ago. It seems to have expired from their web page, though.

Last night on the news they reported that photos of some of the pages have been leaked and J.k. Rowlings lawyers are suing photo bucket.

Yes, one of the companies that was distributing by mail fraked the daggit and shipped early. There was a whole book available on eBay earlier this week.

Well my fingers are crossed that what I read was somehow wrong and the book hasn't been ruined for me yet

Actually, for the fifth movie they used a new screenwriter. I enjoyed it for what it is, an adaption to a different medium, that has to take into account an audience that are not built in fans of the books.
I would love to see some of you guys adapt a 700+ page literary work into a workable screenplay cause believe me, it's not bloody easy and considering the short time frame between movies, I've been generally pleased with the Harry Potter films.
Now I need to get back to work on that Mad Max 4 script as part of a dare from a film studies friend attending Hofstra.

I can't stand the way the stories are hacked to pieces to fit a time frame. So, I go to movies for two reasons only. Reason 1, Family time together. Reason two, Entertainment only. If I consider a movie as only entertainment and do not look at it critically, I find I can relax and enjoy the movie. I go with no other expectations than to sit back, relax and watch a movie with my family. Just my 2 centavos.
