God? are you there? its me....Scott

if you wouldnt mind God......do yo think my family could get a little break from death for a while?

first it was my mom, then my aunts fiance`(sp) now my grandfather......this is getting old..... I know you probably have one more in store...because statisticly speaking when a couple is married for a long time ( 67 years in my grandparents case) when one dies, the other follows realitively quickly... that said my grandmother will more than likely be gone soon.........her whole existance revolved around my grandpa, and her health isnt the best so with no one to take care of........well you get the idea

I'm just tired of death, and the pain it causes.

smithwicks is my friend right now

I'm sorry to hear about your family. I hope your grandmother can pull through this. The effect a death has on a family is... almost indescribable, I cant imagine what multiple deaths is like. From one SCAdian to another, I hope things turn out alright for you and your family.

Don't want to pass by your post and leave you thinking nobody noticed or cared. Sounds like your having a rough go of it.
I'm not very good at comforting, especially when it involves speaking for God. You'll probably hear nicer things from others but if you believe God was there at the beginning and that He'll be there at the end, then I think it's a safe bet He's watching over the middle too.

Just wish we could know more about His master plan, sorry about your days right now.

He is there, He answers the sincere call, I pray that your troubles will be over soon. I know what it's like, I've lost several of my main family members over the past year or so.
Soon, there will be no more death.

I'm not really a religion kind of guy.....I dont want to get into a real discussion on the subject but I will say that the big man is there...this was more of a "ok .....you can stop now" kind of rant ....with a little dark sarcasm thrown in....( remember the book " God are you there? ...it's me Margret") I'm just tired..... my family is slowly disapearing, and there's not a d@mn thing i can do about it.

    right now .....life sucks
    thanks for listening

    Scott

and for what its worth, I'm sorry if I offended anyone, it wasnt my intent

First I would like to offer you sympathy and condolances on your many losses. Secondly, in this time of my own pain (my sister's 25th birthday would have been tomorrow), I would like to thank you for reminding me that I do not have the market cornered on suffering and loss and there are people who have lost as much or more.

Take comfort in your children, family, and friends who love you. and of course the occasional Smithwicks

You have my sympathies, and will be in my prayers at this time. Deaths do tend to come in multiples - in 2004 we lost my dad, my wife's cousin Hazel, then Hazel's dad, (Ann's uncle) in the space of a few weeks. I think the loss of Hazel to cancer at the age of 54 broke her 85 year old dad who just lost the will to live and was gone a few weeks later. We have so little control in life over who we will marry, whether we will have children, what career path we will find ourselves in, yet as you get older you realise that even though life turned out as you could never have foreseen it, it was meant to be that way, and regardless of your religious beliefs there just has to be a master plan for every one of us over which we have only limited control.

    I think I "got it."

Sadly, it gets worse as you age. But, more kidlets seem to get born too. An offset.

If you are grieving, there's no fix to grief other than to grieve.

Its a sad way to get piping practice though...hang in
